***PILOTS POWER***From 1978 -1992 this term became a staple at War Memorial Stadium, with the home team scoring twice as often
in ininnings this was used. Here is the original explanation from the 1978 program. *** PILOTS'S POWER is a new way for you
fans to really get involved during the 1978 season. PILOT'S POWER was born out of the excitement of last year's Championship
game and hopefully it will continue in 1978. At different times during each gane, the public address announcer will say "Fans
its time for a little PILOT'S POWER".That's when you...the fans take over..Yell,Scream, shout and whistle to let our
defending champions know you're behind them all the way,,Join the "in" crowd" and turn on to PILOT'S POWER....***
***CHARTER***OUR CHARTER is simple..To remember the proud tradition of Peninsula Baseball. We are a non profit group. All
of the directors and staff are former Peninsula and baseball officials that just help because they want to perserve something
special. I started going to War Memorial Stadium at six in 1966 when Johnny Bench was a Peninsula Gray. I worked for the team
from 1977-1987 and became the guy who kept the stats and records along with my other duties. When the team left Hampton I
knew we must keep the history alive. All records are from the most updated sources and my records. Some may not be 100 percent
but it's pretty close. We thank everyone for the use of logos, photos, and records. Please come back and visit again..John Graham
